Parkview Women’s Health Therapy Residency 

The Parkview Women’s Health Therapy Residency is a 13-month clinical residency that begins in June of 2022. The program allows residents to graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to excel as a women’s health specialist, with comprehensive clinical experiences treating women, men and pediatric clientele. 

Working alongside board-certified women’s health clinical specialists and experienced faculty, the resident will have opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with urogynecology, OB/GYN, urology, colorectal, GI and pediatrics. The resident will have the opportunity to participate in professional discussions weekly at oncology tumor boards as well as collaborative rounding with other specialties and residents. The program includes the unique experience of clinical practice in a rural community hospital in addition to the specialty practice at the regional medical center. 

The Parkview Women’s Health Therapy Residency program is an ABPTRFE residency in candidacy. 

Applicants must meet the following criteria by June of 2022:

  • Graduate from a CAPTE accredited physical therapy program.
  • Eligible to practice physical therapy in the state of Indiana.
  • Applicants must have earned their Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or be in the final year of completing their DPT. Upon completion of the residency, the resident will then meet the requirements to take the WCS exam.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation.
  • Proof of continuing education course: Pelvic 1 through Academy of Pelvic Health or Herman & Wallace.
  • Pass a specific clinical interview by women's health therapist(s).
  • Meet all eligibility requirements for Parkview Health Hospital System.
  • Member of APTA and Academy of Pelvic Health.
  • Willingness to adhere to hospital guidelines on personal protective equipment (PPE) and COVID-19 safety procedures.
