Healing Arts Program

Parkview Healing Arts, in collaboration with Fort Wayne Dance Collective, integrates literary, movement, music and visual arts into patient care, healthcare facility design and esthetics, the care of our caregivers and the community.

Your health and well-being isn’t just dependent on the health of your physical body, but also on the health of your mind and spirit. Providing healing care for the whole-person, Parkview Regional Medical Center was built using art, light, space and textures to create an atmosphere of calm and healing. Visual arts are incorporated throughout the building, featuring all types of art, including woodcuts, monotypes, acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, fiber art, metal work, stained glass and hand-blown glass, photography and ceramics.

Now, with the Parkview Healing Arts, program, patients can also experience art as well.

Through the generosity of the community to the Parkview Foundation, we are able to bring the new Parkview Healing Arts program to patients, families and our caregivers at Parkview Regional Medical Center. The Healing Arts program brings professional Artists in Residence to the bedside in many of our departments.

If you are a patient at PRMC or Parkview Hospital Randallia and are interested in receiving a visit from a Parkview Healing Arts artist, please contact (260) 266-HEAL (4325) or Paula Bostwick, nursing director, Parkview Health, Paula.Bostwick@parkview.com, (260) 373-7674.
